Abstract

Представлен анализ биометрического метода исследования древесины, названы его основные отличия от традиционно использующихся дендрохронологических изысканий. Приведены примеры применения биометрического метода идентификации древесины в производстве по уголовным делам в России = The article discusses the modern possibilities of using the scientific method of identification and verification of wood in the course of investigative actions (inspections of places of illegal logging of forest stands, seized wood, lumber, etc.) and conducting forensic examinations in criminal cases initiated on the facts of illegal logging of forest stands, and related crimes. The analysis of the biometric method of wood research, its main differences from the traditionally used dendrochronological surveys, is presented. Examples of the application of the biometric method of wood identification in criminal proceedings in Russia are given.
